The Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF), in collaboration with the European Union (EU), announces the launch of the first call for the
Long-Term EU-Africa Partnership on Research and Innovation in Sustainable Energy (LEAP-SE 2025) program. The program offers funding of up to
300,000 euros per project from the Egyptian side, aiming to strengthen partnerships between Europe and Africa to support research and innovation in the following fields:
- Strategies for integrating renewable energy.
- Managing and recycling energy components' impacts.
- Development of smart systems and networks.
- Innovations in clean cooking solutions and cold chain systems.
- Sustainable utilization of green hydrogen.
The application process consists of two phases:
- Phase 1 (Pre-Proposal): Deadline is March 27, 2025, at 5:00 PM.
- Phase 2 (Full Proposal): Deadline is September 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM.
