Today, Tuesday, March 8, 2022, Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, witnessed the university's celebration on the occasion of International Women's Day. The celebration was organized by the UNESCO Club at the university in cooperation with the National Council for Women in Damietta. In the presence of Professor Dr. Wael Farouk Al-Taibany, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Professor Dr. Ghada Al-Sayad, Professor of Spinning and Weaving at the Faculty of Applied Arts and the former dean of the Faculties of Applied Arts, Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Zeky, Coordinator of the UNESCO Club at the university, and Mrs. Marwa Mohamed Nabil, Rapporteur of the National Council for Women in Damietta , and a number of faculty members, the supporting staff, the administrative staff and a number of university students, in addition to the honorees from the faculty members, the administrative staff, and female students and candidates from outside the university. The ceremony was presented by Dr. Doaa, which was witnessed by the teacher in the Department of Psychology, College of Education. Prior to the symposium, the president of the university inspected an art exhibition of a number of textile paintings executed by the students of the Department of Spinning and Weaving at the College of Applied Arts, which were admired and praised by the president of the university. Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the guests of the celebration from inside and outside the university, thanking all the women of Egypt on the occasion of this international day, which highlights the importance of the role of women in various aspects of life. On the personal, governmental or voluntary level, including women and students of the university, because of their prominent roles in various fields at the university. He also thanked, on his own behalf, and all the men affiliated with the university, to the wives and mothers who are basically the reasons for their success in their work. After that, a number of women from the university, including faculty, administrative staff and students, as well as from outside the university, were honored due to their achievements in the past period, and their statement is as follows:

1- Professor Dr. Ghada Mohamad Al-Sayad - Professor of Spinning and Weaving at the Faculty of Applied Arts and the former dean of the Faculties of Applied Arts, Computers and Artificial Intelligence.

2- Professor Dr.  Nasra Naeem Ayoub - Professor of Cells and Tissue at the Faculty of Medicine and included in the list of the best 2% of world scientists.

3- Dr.  Hala Ahmed El-Sakka - Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, College of Science, winner of the COMSTECH Award 2021 for the best research paper in mathematics.

4- Dr. Hoda Mohamad Al-Gharabawy - Microbiology teacher in the Department of Botany and Microbiology, Faculty of Science.

5- Student / Youmna Ahmed Rizk Abdullah - African champion in Muay Thai.

6- Mrs. Fatma Abd Al-Ghany Helaly- Former University Secretary.

7- Mrs. Noha Mohamad Al-Ghobashy - General Manager of Stores and Purchasing.

8- Miss. Sarah El-Sayed Shanshan - Director General of Budget and Accounts.

9- Mrs. Howayda Mohamad Al-Araby Mansy - Assistant Services at the Faculty of Education.

And from outside the university from the Damietta community, and with a nomination from the National Council for Women branch:

10- Dr. Amal Mohamad Dora - Physician at the Directorate of Health and Population.

11- Mrs. Walaa Mustafa Jaafar - Director of the Equal Opportunities Unit in the Directorate of Education.

12- Mrs. Jermain Riad Fahmy Asaad - an expert teacher in the Directorate of Education.

13- Amira Mohamad Musaad Moamen - Undersecretary of the Directorate of Social Solidarity.

14- Dr. Samia Ahmed Abd Al Wahab Al-Ghobashy - Doctor Engineer.
