Today, Thursday, March 24, 2022 Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, welcomed  Professor Dr. Oliver Ulrich Stoll, Dean of the Institute of Sports Sciences at Martin Luther University in Germany and head of the Egyptian-German joint research project "The Egyptian-German Development Project for the Development of Sports for the Disabled" in order to explore ways of cooperation to serve people of determination in coordination with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The reception of the President of the University of Professor Dr. Oliver Ulrich Stoll today, within the framework of implementing the directives of the political leadership to take care of people of determination in Egypt and develop their various sports, as well as in the context of exchanging visits and experiences with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) within the framework of the joint research project, which includes the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Martin Luther University in Germany and Damietta Universities Mansoura, Alexandria and Arish. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Mohamed Heikal, Assistant Professor of Kindergarten at the Faculty of Education, Dr. Amr Rushdy, Assistant Professor of Sports Psychology at the Faculty of Physical Education at Mansoura University, and a visiting professor at Martin Luther University in Germany. The rector discussed with Professor Dr. Oliver Ulrich Stoll Ways to enhance cooperation by utilizing the joint research project "The Egyptian-German Development Project for the Development of Sports for the Disabled", which includes the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Martin Luther University in Germany, and the universities of Damietta, Mansoura, Alexandria and Arish, given that this file is a priority of the political leadership in Egypt and the role of the political leadership From the interest in this file and the continuous financial and moral support it provides. The university president also discussed with Professor Dr. Oliver Ulrich Stoll the most prominent axes of the research project, namely:

1-Exchange of experiences in the field of sports for people of determination between Germany (Martin Luther University - University of Regensburg) and the Arab Republic of Egypt (Mansoura University - Damietta University - Alexandria University - Arish University).

2-Developing sports for people of determination in Egyptian universities.

3-Increasing the efficiency of coaches in the field of sports for people of determination.

4-Teaching sports courses for people of determination in the faculties of physical education at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

5-Integrating sports for people of determination with sports for normal people.

6-Providing practical education in schools of thought and providing them with an appropriate physical education class.

Also, 25 faculty members from the faculties of physical education, education and kindergartens who are specialized in dealing with people with disabilities who are related to disabled sports have traveled to Germany to exchange experiences and learn about the latest methods in developing sports for people of determination and to make field visits to schools specialized in this regard. Among them is Dr. Mohamed Heikal, Assistant Professor of Kindergarten, College of Education.
