Today, Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of Damietta University, received a shield for listing Damietta University in the British QS classification for education from Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies, and Dr. Amany El Diasty, Director of the International Classification and Publishing Unit. The classification was announced at the ceremony held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on October 19 and 20, 2022, where the British QS classification for education announced the inclusion of Damietta University in its QS Arab Region University Rankings | 2022, as Damietta University ranked among the best 171-200 universities at the level of Arab universities. This is the second time in a row that Damietta University enters this famous classification approved by scientific institutions and research centers, which is based on specific frameworks and carefully studied standards followed in the most prestigious institutions of higher education, which is distinguished by momentum in its advanced research and knowledge production, as the annually developed classification is approved. It contains various indicators that reveal the extent to which universities are aware of the educational process and its impact on society. These indicators include the following:
1- Academic reputation.
2- The employer's reputation.
3- The ratio of faculty members to students.
4-International Research Network.
5- The impact of the website.
6- Percentage of employees holding a doctorate degree.
7- The percentage of the diversity of the faculty members.
8- The percentage of student diversity.
9- International cooperation.
10- Scientific research (citation of research).
11- The quality of the educational process and graduates.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. El-Sayed Mohamad Dadour, President of the University, extends his thanks and appreciation to Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and to the international classification team led by Dr. Amany El-Diasty, and to all faculty members, researchers, and administrators for the effort exerted throughout the previous period. Which led to the emergence of the university successively in the various international rankings of universities, as well as improving the ranking of the university in the rankings in which it appeared before.
