The Fund for Innovation and Talents Care Opens Applications for the eGP Program to Support Graduation Projects of Egyptian University Students

        Under the patronage of Prof./ Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Fund for Innovation and Talents Care has announced the opening of applications for the eGP 2025 Program. The program aims to support scientific and societal graduation projects and develop them into entrepreneurial ventures.

Dr. Hany Ayad, Executive Director of the Fund for Innovation and Talents Care, emphasized that this program aligns with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2030. One of its key objectives is to link education with industry and the job market, as well as to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. The program presents a remarkable opportunity for final-year university students, helping them transform their creative ideas into startups.

Program Tracks:

1. eGP Track – Supporting Entrepreneurial Graduation Projects

This track targets final-year students and aims to convert their graduation projects into real startups. It offers financial support of up to 120,000 EGP. Applications can be submitted through the following link:

Requirements for the eGP Track:

  • The project must be innovative and capable of being transformed into a startup.
  • It should address real-world problems and align with Egypt’s 2030 Strategy.
  • The project must demonstrate commercial potential and include at least a preliminary market study.
  • Teams should consist of 2 to 6 members, with the option to include students from multiple faculties within the same university.
  • Team members must not be part of other teams, and the project must not receive financial support from other governmental entities.
  • Collaboration with a private sector partner is allowed.
  • Applicants must provide certified documentation of their supervisor and team details from their faculty or university.
  • A certificate of completion for the "Entrepreneurship Basics" course from the Egypt Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (accessible via this link) is required.
  • Projects must be completed by the end of the academic year and submitted to the fund upon request.

The deadline for registration in the eGP Track is Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

2. Enactus Track – Supporting Community Entrepreneurship Initiatives

This track is designed for student teams across all academic years to work on entrepreneurial community initiatives aimed at creating a positive and sustainable impact on society. Financial support of up to 100,000 EGP is available.

Requirements for the Enactus Track:

  • Participants must join their university’s or institute’s Enactus Team to benefit from the program.
  • Adherence to the rules and regulations of Enactus Egypt is mandatory.
  • The track is sponsored and supported by the fund.

Benefits for Winning Teams:

Winning teams from both tracks will have the opportunity to:

  • Join technology incubators.
  • Qualify directly for the regional finals leading to the final boot camp.
  • Participate in filming the new season of the Gen Z television program.
