The University President and Deputy Governor of Damietta inaugurate a training course for employees

           Today, Monday, November 25, 2024, Prof./ Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, and Eng. Shaima Al-Sedeek, Deputy Governor of Damietta, opened a training course for workers in care homes, which was organized by Damietta University in cooperation with the Social Solidarity Directorate in the presence of Prof. /Mohamad Abdo Amasha, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof.  /Mohammad Abd Al Hamed Shehab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, the course will be held for five days at the headquarters of the University’s General Administration. In his speech during the opening, Prof. /Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, stressed the importance of this course in enhancing the capabilities of care home workers, noting that the University always seeks to provide scientific and training support in various fields that serve the community, especially in the areas of human development and caring for children without care. He praised the state's efforts in launching presidential initiatives aimed at improving the standard of living of individuals and supporting the most needy segments of society. For her part, Eng. Shaima Al-Sedeek, Deputy Governor of Damietta, indicated that the training course contributes significantly to developing the skills of social and psychological workers, which enhances their ability to provide the necessary care to children in care homes. She expressed her pride in the cooperation between the governorate and the university in supporting this segment of society. She noted that these efforts come within the framework of implementing the state’s vision to empower Egyptian people and build their future. This course comes within the university’s ongoing efforts to effectively contribute to the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Building,” launched by President Abd Al Fattah El-Sisi, which aims to develop the Egyptian person and enhance his national identity through integrated programs and activities that work to build the individual’s capabilities and preserve the nation’s capabilities.
