Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, welcomed this morning, Wednesday, April 16, 2025, Professor Dr. Ayman Al-Shehaby, Governor of Damietta, and Professor Dr. Ismail Abd Al Hamid Taha, former Governor of Damietta and member of the Computer Science and Information Technology Sector Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education, Professor Dr. Al-Saeed Abd Al-Hadi, President of Horus University, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Essam Khalifa, Chairman of the Computer Science and Information Technology Sector Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education. The meeting was also graced by Professor Dr. Ramadan Abd Al Hamid El-Tantawy, former president of the university; Professor Dr. Wael Abd Al Kader Awad, dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence; and Professor Dr. Yasser Fouad Hassan, dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence at Horus University, along with a number of deans of the university's faculties. This visit comes as part of the university's participation in the closing ceremony of the second technology forum for graduates of the College of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, which reflects the university's commitment to strengthening communication with its graduates and activating their role in supporting technological and scientific development. Following the meeting, the university president took the guests on a tour of Damietta Private University, which is scheduled to start studying during the new academic year 2025/2026. The guests were briefed on the latest developments in the university's facilities and preparations to welcome students. During their visit to Damietta Private University, the guests expressed their great admiration for the university’s advanced equipment and modern infrastructure, which reflects an ambitious vision for the future of university education in Egypt. They praised the level of the facilities, laboratories and classrooms, which were equipped according to the latest international standards, thus creating an integrated educational environment that supports creativity and innovation. They stressed that the private university represents a strong addition to the higher education system in Damietta Governorate. It contributes to providing distinguished educational opportunities for the people of the governorate and neighboring governorates, in specialized specializations that keep pace with the needs of the local and international labor market.
