The University President launches the initiative "Your Health from Your Dental Health"

                Professor Dr. Hamdan Rabie Al-Metwaly, President of the University, launched today, March 9, 2025, the Oral and Dental Health Care Initiative “Your Health from Your Dental Health”, which aims to provide free oral and dental examinations for university students, as part of the university’s keenness to raise awareness of the importance of public health and link it to oral and dental health care. The initiative was launched under the supervision of the University’s Education and Student Affairs Sector, headed by Professor Dr. Mohamad Abdo Amasha, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and was implemented in the newly equipped dental clinic at the College of Education. The initiative aims, in its first phase, to examine thousands of male and female students from various colleges, while providing preventive and therapeutic guidance for cases that require follow-up. The initiative was launched in the presence of Professor Dr. Amany Awad, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Dr. Mohamed Hassan Gomaa, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Ali Gohar, Full-Time Professor at the Faculty, and Professor Dr. Al-Shahat Othman, former Dean of the Faculty. Professor Dr. Othman Zaki, Supervisor of the University’s Medical Administration, and Dr. Shaimaa Atwa, Director of the University’s Medical Administration, with the participation of “Family for Egypt” students, who participated in organizing and raising awareness of the initiative’s goals. In his speech, Professor Dr.Hemdan Al-Metwaly stressed that the initiative comes from the university’s vision to integrate medical services into the educational process, saying: “The health of our students is our priority, and dental care is not a luxury, but rather a first line of defense against many diseases. Through this initiative, we aim to instill a culture of prevention and provide a university environment that supports health.” The university president also thanked the medical team and urged the clinic doctors to “do their utmost to serve the students and turn this clinic into a model to be emulated.”
