Today, September 19, 2024, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, held the first meeting of the University’s Media Center in the presence of Dr. Mohamad Al-Hadidy, Assistant Professor of Journalism at the College of Arts and Director of the Center. The University President discussed the center’s work plan in light of the state’s future vision for digital and technological transformation and the revolution in the world of various communications, and the members’ suggestions regarding mechanisms for implementing its tasks, most notably enhancing media communication between the university and the internal and external community. Highlighting the university’s image as a beacon of science and knowledge that supplies the labor market with graduates and serving the external community, producing the university’s media content and documentary media to market the various academic programs offered by the university, whether regular or distinguished programs, and covering the university’s activities and events in the media. The members of the center reviewed some proposals that support media coverage of the university’s internal and external files, highlighting the positive mental image of the university’s activities and its societal role that goes beyond its educational services, stressing their keenness to provide all aspects of cooperation to advance the interest of the university.
