Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, welcomed a high-level delegation from the Saltanet Oman, which included a number of prominent figures in the field of education and administration, to discuss ways of scientific and academic cooperation between Damietta University and the Saltanet  Oman, in addition to the possibility of establishing a branch of the university in Oman, in the presence of Professor Dr. Mphamad Abd Al Hamed Shehab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research. Professor Dr. Samir Al-Gamal, Dean of the Faculty of Law, and Professor Dr. Amany Awad, Dean of the Faculty of Education. The Omani delegation was accompanied by a number of prominent leaders, as the Omani delegation included Mr. Ahmed Al-Riamy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Modern Sciences in the Saltanet Oman, Mr. Tarek Al-Mjainy, Director of Human Resources at the Academy of Modern Sciences, and Mr. Hussein Hamam, Director of Development at the Academy of Modern Sciences. They were accompanied by Dr. Mahmoud Al-Awady, Major General Rady Abd Al Mouty, Dr. Mohamad Al-Sisi, and Professor Mohamad Fawzy Felfela. The university president welcomed the Omani delegation, praising the fraternal relations between the Egyptian and Omani peoples, and stressed that Damietta University is one of the modern universities that the Egyptian state is betting on in the field of education, indicating the university’s full readiness for academic cooperation with the brothers in Oman. For his part, Professor Ahmed Al-Riamy expressed his happiness at visiting Damietta University, stressing that the historical relationship between Egypt and Oman extends throughout the ages and is characterized by strong ties of love and cooperation, noting that Egypt has been and continues to be a major supporter of the Sltanet  Oman in various fields. Dr. Mohamad El-Sisi also pointed out the importance of cooperation in the field of education between the two countries, expressing his thanks for the good reception, and explained that this meeting is an important step towards strengthening academic relations between Damietta University and the Academy of Modern Sciences in Oman. The meeting discussed ways to implement educational programs offered by Damietta University in Oman that are compatible with the needs of the labor market in the Saltanet  Oman, and also meet the academic needs for developing the education system in Oman, which will contribute to providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in the labor market efficiently. The meeting also discussed the establishment of a branch of Damietta University in the Sultanate of Oman and the development of joint educational programs between the two sides, with the aim of meeting the needs of higher education in Oman and enhancing academic cooperation between the two countries. The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields between the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie, and Professor Ahmed Al Riamy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Modern Sciences in the Sultanate of Oman.
