As part of his keenness to follow up on the progress of work and services provided to female students, Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, made a surprise visit today, Wednesday, February 19, 2025, to the University City for Female Students. The visit aimed to provide a field view of the quality of services and facilities, and to ensure the provision of an educational and healthy environment that suits the needs of female students. The tour began with an inspection of the green spaces within the university city, where the university president directed the need to improve the aesthetic appearance of these spaces, stressing their role in enhancing the psychological comfort of female students and adding an aesthetic character to the university environment. He also stressed the importance of paying attention to all the details that contribute to improving the quality of life on campus. The visit also included an inspection of the university city kitchen, where the university president reviewed the meals provided to male and female students, inspected the quality of the materials used and the cleanliness of the food preparation facilities, and praised the efforts made, stressing the need to adhere to the highest standards of health safety, and diversify the meals to ensure their nutritional balance in proportion to the needs of male and female students. The university president expressed his appreciation to those in charge of the university city, stressing the importance of periodic monitoring of all services and facilities, and the necessity of working to develop them continuously to ensure the satisfaction of the university students. This visit came within the framework of Damietta University's strategy aimed at providing an integrated educational and health environment, which reflects the university's keenness to care for its male and female students, and to provide distinguished services that contribute to achieving academic and social excellence.
