The University President congratulates the winners of the Distinguished Scientific Publishing Award for the year 2023/2024. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of the University, extends his sincere congratulations to the faculty members and supporting staff who won the “University Award for Distinguished Scientific Publishing” for the academic year 2023/2024. The winners from various colleges of the university welcomed the award in recognition of their research published in prestigious international scientific journals classified within the “Q” scope for the year 2023. The total number of winning research papers reached (340) papers, covering various specializations that contribute to enriching scientific knowledge and meeting the needs of society. In his address during the University Council meeting today, February 26, 2025, the University President affirmed that this achievement is evidence of the university’s commitment to achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030 in promoting a culture of innovation and scientific research, saying: “We congratulate the winners for their dedication and excellence, which embodies Damietta University’s position as a beacon of science and knowledge. These awards are not only a tribute to the past, but an incentive for continued giving and leadership in the future.” It is worth noting that the award is given annually to research published in peer-reviewed journals with high international rankings (Q), taking into account the quality of the research outputs and their scientific and societal impact. The University President praised the role of the University’s Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Center in applying precise criteria for selecting the winning research. The university president renewed his commitment to providing all necessary support to enhance the culture of solid scientific publishing.
