The forum is held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Mohamad Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and organized and supervised by Professor Dr. Mohamad Attia Al-Bayomy, Vice President of the University for Education and Students, and Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd Al Azeem, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. In his opening speech, Professor Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, welcomed the presence of university presidents, deputies and representatives of the Delta region during their participation in the activities of the “First Forum of the Delta Region Universities Alliance” in the student camp in the city of Gamasa, stressing that the alliance between the universities of the Delta region aims to implement the national strategy for higher education and research. scientific, One of its most important principles is achieving integration between educational institutions. and industrial; and research; And the business sector to implement the state vision for sustainable development Egypt 2030, where many cooperation protocols were signed between universities in the region, Pointing out that the Delta sector represents 25% of Egypt’s population, and the number of public and private technological universities, which places responsibility on the region’s universities to achieve integration among themselves to achieve the state’s vision for sustainable development, and to achieve integration and sufficiency in the medical fields. and industrial; agricultural; And technology. He also stressed the development of a set of plans to achieve integration and establish frameworks for cooperation between universities in the region. Professor Dr. Hemdan Rabie Al-Metwally, President of Damietta University, praised the idea of ??the alliance, which achieves effective integration between the higher education system, scientific research, and production and industrial institutions, which is considered one of the most important axes of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research. The University President added that the Alliance of Regional Universities enhances the support of established universities for emerging universities and the exchange of experiences and capabilities in order to benefit emerging universities in their developmental path, and achieve integration between research centers and production and industrial institutions, especially in light of the special nature of the Delta region, which represents a fertile environment for research projects. Meanwhile, Professor Dr. Mohamad Attia Al-Bayoumy, Vice President of Mansoura University for Education and Student Affairs, reviewed aspects of cooperation between universities in the field of specific and inter-university programs and student activities. Professor Dr. Tarek Mostafa Alloush, Vice President of Mansoura University for Graduate Studies and Research, presented ways of scientific cooperation, linking it to industry, and internationalizing the university. Professor Dr. Mohamad Abd Al Azeem, Vice President of Mansoura University for Community Service and Environmental Development, discussed cooperation mechanisms in the field of environment, community service, a decent life, and integrated convoys (effective participation - communication - sustainability).
