Statement of Goals

1.        Promote the postgraduate studies, research and cultural relations sector.

2.        Develop postgraduate programs, catering to local and regional market needs and making use of science to address community issues and problems.

3.        Prepare locally and internationally competitive graduates and future leaders in the field of postgraduate studies and research at Damietta university as well as other Egyptian universities and research centers.

4.        Community outreach through postgraduate programs and scientific research.

5.        Set up a university research plan and roadmap, in the light of the national strategic plan, that serve as an umbrella for research planning in each college.

6.        Encourage community-oriented scientific research and international publishing.

7.        Research funding, particularly applied and technological research.

8.        Commitment to research ethics and intellectual property rights.

9.        Organize international engagement activities and send students to study abroad in specific disciplines to build their capacities at the human, scientific and technological levels.

10.   Compete at the local and international levels with regard to organizing and participating in conferences and symposia.

11.   Develop conventional libraries, digital libraries, and different other information sources.
