About the Administration
Under the supervision of Mr. Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Cultural Relations, the Directorate General of Cultural Relations, with its sub-divisions [cultural exchange and grants and scholarships] is responsible for the following:
First: Administration of cultural exchange
Tasks and responsibilities
· Taking measures to hold cultural agreements with foreign countries and complying with the provisions of these agreements.
· Developing a plan for recruiting and inviting foreign professors and experts from abroad to teach and supervise scientific research.
· Taking measures to nominate faculty staff and send them on scientific missions.
· Inviting foreign professors and experts staying in Egypt to hold lectures and seminars at university.
· Nominating faculty staff for visiting foreign universities and research centers abroad to keep pace
with latest developments in various scientific and applied fields of study.
· Establishing academic partnerships between the university and other Arab and foreign universities and research centers and granting them membership in permanent scientific committees.
· Taking measures necessary for boosting university participation in internal, external and international conferences.
· Participating in seminars and training sessions organized by the university as well as Arab, foreign and international agencies.
· Preparing for conferences and seminars to be held at university and acting upon the decisions and recommendations made therein.
· Setting up a database of conferences and participants.
Second: Administration of missions and scholarships
Tasks and responsibilities
· Taking measures to nominate faculty for different scholarships received by university in compliance with cultural programs set up with foreign countries.
· Supervising missions and study leaves members (both external and internal) and taking measures to extend these missions and leaves.
· Preparing a university needs analysis to set up a missions plan.
· Organizing the use of scholarships offered by governments or universities in different countries.
· Taking measures for sending faculty staff on missions, scholarships and study leaves and following them up.
· Acting upon decisions of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Council.
· Taking actions to nominate faculty staff for scientific missions.
· Establishing a database on different kinds of missions and members on mission.

· First: New grants (renewable according to the grants received).
· Second: Conferences and scientific seminars.
· Third: Travel of faculty members.
Fourth: Scientific reports submitted by faculty staff members about participation in academic activities
