**The 24th Round of the Egyptian American Cooperation Program**

 prof./ Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting scientific research and innovation in Egypt, highlighting the importance of providing necessary funding for competitive research projects and promoting international cooperation between Egyptian researchers and their counterparts in other countries. He explained that the ministry is working on signing cooperation agreements with global research organizations to produce joint research projects. 

In this context, the Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF), in collaboration with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine in the United States, has announced the opening of applications for the 24th Round of the Egyptian-American Cooperation Program, in the fields of (Agriculture, Energy, Health, Water Management, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning). 

The program offers two types of support: 

1. Grants for Joint Research Projects**, which aim to strengthen scientific collaboration between the two countries. Each research team in both countries can receive funding of up to $200,000, with a duration of two to three years. 

2. Short-term Research Visits** for young researchers to U.S. research institutions, with a maximum visit duration of 9 months and a funding cap of $25,500. 

Dr. Walaa Sheta, CEO of the Science, Technology, and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) noted that the 24th Round of the Egyptian American Cooperation Program aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in scientific and technological fields of mutual interest, providing opportunities for the exchange of ideas, information, and technologies.
