On Saturday 2 / 2/ 2019 , the 12th Egyptian University Youth Week was launched, sponsored by Professor Dr. Khaled Abd El Ghafar, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the presence of Professor Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Professor Dr.Ismaiel Taha , Governor of Kafr El – Sheikh and the presidents of Egyptian universities. Damietta University participated in the opening event in the presence of Professor Dr.  El Sayed Mohamad Dadour the President of the university , Professor Dr.  Mohamad Abo Shwareb ,  the  dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and the head of League mission . The Youth University Week entitled "With science and knowledge we move towards construction" considered as one of the most important youth events at the university level . More than 5 thousand students from 26 Egyptian government universities as well as Al-Azhar University Participated in this  event which  organized by the University of Kafr El-Sheikh.
