About Physics Department

The goals of physics department to teach physics for undergraduate and postgraduate students in many colleges of Mansoura University and to conduct researches on physics .There are two divisions of physics for undergraduate students; special physics and physics & computer science. There are two divisions of physics for postgraduate students; experimental physics and theoretical physics. . The department qualifies students to get Bachelor of Science, Master's degree and PhD degree in physics. The staff members conduct researches in fields of; theoretical plasma physics, theoretical magnetism, image analysis, interferometer, thin films, solar energy, ion sources, polymers, glassy state and radiation transfer, some of them are involving in projects such as; production of solar cells from organic semiconductors and study of optical and structural properties of optical fibers and thin films of polymers.
