Terms of reference

  • Compiling issues to be addressed in the University Council, classifying them, preparing the necessary agenda and presenting it to the Secretary General to ensure appropriateness and viability of procedures
  • Preparing the minutes of meetings, recording them, endorsing them in the meeting records, and taking actions to get them signed by council members and ratified by the University President
  • Monitoring the implementation of recommendations and decisions endorsed by the University Council and addressing competent authorities in this regard
  • Monitoring the work of technical committees emanating from the University Council
  • Compiling and updating issues that need to be addressed and decided on by the University Council
  • Presenting the issues pertaining to the University Council to the University President to decide upon
  • Following up decisions of the Deans Committee and those of the Supreme Council of Universities and reporting to respective bodies and stakeholders
  • Preparing reports pertinent to the University Council and the Supreme Council of Universities and submitting them to the University President
  • Other pertinent miscellaneous duties
