Assistant secretary for financial affairs


Terms of reference

 

·      Assisting the Secretary General in all tasks pertinent to the general financial policies and procedures at University.

·      Assisting the Secretary General in the implementation of all financial regulations, laws, systems and activities at University.

·      Reviewing the overall results of activities and efforts of the organizational departments assigned to him/her and making observations that help develop and improve work methods to ensure higher performance rates.

·      Following up progressive developments and recent trends in the field of specialization.

·      Participating as committee members or chairs with regard to financial activities within the limits of the university organizational laws and regulations.

·      Coordinating activities under his/her supervision and monitoring the implementation of these activities.

·      Conducting periodic meetings with officials in affiliate departments and sectors, discussing work processes and problems and working on solving them.

·      Studying financial plans of the sector and submitting them to the University Secretary General for endorsing them and making decisions necessary to ensure that the university is functioning in line with the general goals and objectives.

·      Studying issues referred to him/her by the Secretary General, preparing necessary reports and discussing them with the Secretary General before submitting them to competent authorities.

·      Contributing to the development and implementation of programs and activities under his/her supervision.

·      Carrying out all financial authorities and duties assigned to him/her in accordance with the provisions and regulations of Law No. 49 issued in 1972.
